The County Assembly team today met representatives of the Cheshire Disability Services Kenya (CDSK).
The CDSK was led by the CEO Cicilia Mutava.
The meeting Chaired by the Assembly’s Deputy Clerk Mr. Kipambi Ntele centered on how the two institutions can partner together on improving the welfare of persons living with disability in the county. The CDSK pledged to partner with the County Assembly in public in formulating proper legislation framework to support persons living with Disabilities in the County.
The CDS Kenya pledged to support the County Assembly in the Disability Mainstreaming Bill, 2023 a Private Member’s Bill currently past the pre-publication scrutiny stage in the County Assembly and awaiting publication in the Government Printers.
