The Budget and Appropriations Committee has this afternoon tabled a report on the consideration of the 2023 County Fiscal Strategy Paper.
This is in line with the requirements of Section 117(6) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012 as well as the County Assembly Standing Order No. 206(4).
The CFSP outlines strategic priorities and policy goals that will guide the county government in preparing its budget for the next financial year and over the medium term as well as set expenditure sealings.
Once the house adopts the report, the County Executive Committee Member in charge of the County Treasury shall ensure that the budget estimates are prepared in respect to the resolutions of the County Fiscal Strategy Paper adopted by the county assembly.
